The 2008 Alabama AFL-CIO Community Services Conference will be held June 5-7 at the Island House Hotel, Orange Beach, Alabama. This year, COPE presentations will be made throughout the Community Services Conference. We sincerely hope your organization will be able to participate
Local unions may send as many delegates as they choose. Room rates are $165.00 plus 11 % tax per night and group reservations can be made by calling 1-800-264-2642 or 1-251-981-6100. Tell them you will be attending the Alabama AFL-CIO Conference, Group Code: AFL-CIO, Group #: 2271391. Reservations should be made by May 2nd since the hotel will not hold the room block beyond that date. Check-in is 3:00 p.m.
Registration fee is $50.00 per delegate which includes a reception on Saturday night. Please return the enclosed registration form and fee no later than May 28th . Guests and family members may attend the banquet for a fee of $10.00. Attire for the entire conference will be casual.
Pre registration will be in the hotel lobby on Wednesday, June 4th from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. On Thursday, June 5th, registration will begin at 9 a.m., and the first session will begin at 10 a.m. The conference will conclude with the reception on Saturday.
