(Mobile, AL) – United Way of Southwest Alabama (UWSWA) today announced Leslie Schraeder has been pro-moted to Marketing Specialist & AFL-CIO Labor Engage-ment Liaison. She has served as the AFL-CIO Community Services Liaison since June 2014.
"I am looking forward to telling the story of the UWSWA and its 48 partners that serve the most vulnerable among us," Schraeder said. "I am also am thrilled to continue serving the labor movement and all working people in our community." Schraeder has many years as a nonprofit professional. Prior to her move to UWSWA, she held the position of Director of Bellingrath Gardens and Home, the Development & PR Director at Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation, and Public Relations & Volunteer Services at The Salvation Army of Coastal Ala-bama. She is a graduate of Spring Hill College and has resided in Mobile since 1992. She is also member of the United Steel Workers Local 9-265, the Southwest Alabama Labor Council and the Public Relations Council of Alabama.
