More Art for Mobile Arc 2018 SWALC Holiday Project

Southwest Alabama Labor Coucil (SWALC) is collecting art supplies for the Marc-Art Program, which offers art education programs for people with disabilities in Mobile County. Mobile Arc offers classes in painting, dance, martial arts, sculpting, and many more activities. All donations will be given to Mobile Arc.

Anyone that wants to contribute you may bring your donations to your local union hall between November 27 and December 14 or to the SWALC Christmas Party on December 15. Suggested Items: Paint - Tempra, Acrylic, and/or Watercolors • Paint Brushes • Canvases • Pastels - Chalk and/or Oil • Colored Pencils • Graphite Pencils• Erasers - Gum and/or Rubber • Paper - Craft, Watercolor, Color Pencil, and/or Newsprint • Glue - Regular and/or Rubber • Crayons • Markers - Fine and/or Thick. These and other items can be found Alabama Art Supply (1001 Downtowner Blvd, 36609) or at any local art or craft store.

ABOUT Mobile Arc: Mobile Arc was established in 1956 to respond to the needs of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They provide services to over 300 people in Mobile County. Services are provided through Day programs at two locations, Employment Services at one location and residential programs throughout Mobile. Mobile Arc is a member of the Arc of Alabama, the Arc of the United States, and is a United Way of Southwest Alabama agency. Mobile Arc promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing services and building relationships that encourage inclusion, participation, and engagement in the community.
